  摘要：

  Two novel organic–inorganic hybrid compounds, [PbI2(4,4′-bipy)]n (1) and [PbBr2(4,4′-bipy)]n (2), are synthesized by self-assembly. X-ray crystallography analysis shows that the [PbI2]n chains in 1 are linked by 4,4′-bipyridine to form a layer, via Pb–N bonding along the direction of the ‘b’ axis.
