  七氟异丙基正在作为现代农业化学中的一种优先化学型出现，并在当前主要杀虫剂产品组合中占有重要地位。为了使该模块的扩展潜力与准备拥挤的氟化基序相关的合成挑战相协调，已利用了I（I）/ I（III）催化。以原位生成p-TolIF2为基础，该方法可在一次操作中实现α-三氟甲基-β-二氟苯乙烯的直接二氟化。氟在整个烯烃π键上的正式添加是有效的（最高91％的收率），并且与广泛的官能团兼容。ArCF（CF3）2部分在结构上是预先组织好的，C（sp3）–F键与芳基环的框架共面，从而最大程度地降低了1,3-烯丙基的应变。而且，在邻苯二甲酰亚胺衍生物中鉴定出正交多极性C–F··C = O相互作用。可以设想，由高价碘物质实现的这种程序化的邻位二氟化作用将在更广泛的意义上应用于功能分子设计。
