Isoxazoline rings have been successfully connected to imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine derivatives via carboncarbon bonds for the synthesis of new C-nucleoside analogs 7 and 8. These two isomers, possessing altered positions of nitrogen and oxygen atoms, can be formed through dipolar cycloaddition reactions of the appropriate olefins and nitrile oxides.
