A one-pot synthetic approach to form core-extended N,N′-disubstituted diaryl dihydrophenazine (DADHP) diradical dications (DRDCs) via chemical oxidation from aryl-substituted ortho-phenyldiamines is reported. The isolated N,N′-disubstituted DADHP DRDCs were reduced to their neutral counterparts with hydrazine.
