  A CuBr2 catalyzed alkynylation of tertiary methylamines with terminal alkynes has been developed. Compared with the recent alkenylations, which mostly focused on aromatic methylamines, this transformation shows good reactivity to aliphatic tertiary methylamines. The reaction proceeds under room temperature using aqueous TBHP without the requirement of an inert atmosphere.
