A new and efficient protocol to synthesize substituted benzo[b]carbazole derivatives has been demonstrated involving iron-catalyzed domino isomerization/cyclodehydration sequences from substituted 2-[(indoline-3-ylidene)(methyl)]benzaldehyde derivatives.
