    4-alkyl-thiophenyl-ethanolamines are disclosed, which are compounds having a therapeutical activity against blood-platelet aggregation, and against lipemia and improving the cerebral circulation, said ethanolamines having the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R and R.sub.1 are alkyl substituents and R.sub.2 is a substituent having an amine character. Due to the presence of two asymmetry centers in their molecule, the compounds concerned can be prepared in the "threo" and the "erythro" configuration: mixtures of the "threo" and the "erythro" forms have also proven effective.

    4-alkyl-thiophenyl-ethanolamines are disclosed, which are compounds having a therapeutical activity against blood-platelet aggregation, and against lipemia and improving the cerebral circulation, said ethanolamines having the general formula: wherein R and R, are alkyl substituents and R2 is a substituent having an amine character.     The serine protease urokinase (uPa) has been implicated in the progression of both breast and prostate cancer. Utilizing structure based design, the synthesis of a series of substituted 4-[2-amino- 1,3-thiazolyl]-thiophene-2-carboxamidine is described.     The magnetic susceptibility chi(M) and the relative permittivity epsilon(r)' for (CHAn)(2)MnCl4, (An)(2)MnCl4, (CHAn)(2)CuCl4 and (An)(2)CuCl4, where CHAn = 4-cyclohexyl analinium and AN = analinium ions have been studied in the temperature range of 80-400 K. The results showed antiferromagnetic character for the Mn-compounds and ferromagnetic character for Cu-compounds. The plots of epsilon(r)'-T and chi(M)-T showed some breaks attributed to dynamic disordering of the organic chains. The results were correlated and discussed in view of the composition as well as the structure of the compounds. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
