                                    of CO, 2 gives the mono-insertion product trans-[(Ph2O)] (7). Similarly 3,5-Me2C6H3NC reacts with 2 to give the mono insertion product trans-[(Ph2NC6H3Me2-3,5)] (8). The slowness of the reaction of CO with 2 is attributed to steric hindrance by the bulky alkoxo ligand.
