We present a simple, metal‐free, and versatile route to synthesize unsymmetrically N,N‐disubstituted formamides (NNFAs) from CO2, primary amine, and aldehyde promoted by an ionic liquid (1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium chloride) at room temperature.
