polymerization techniques are used in polymer-assisted solution phase Diels–Alderreactions between isoprene and a variety of dienophiles. With 5 mol% loading, these polyelectrolytes exhibit very good catalytic activity toward Diels–Alderreaction with quantitative yields within 30 min at room temperature. These polyelectrolyte-catalyzed reactions resulted in good para/meta-like product ratios. Here, the coordination
Disclosed are compounds of Formula 1, including all geometric and stereoisomers, N-oxides, and salts thereof, wherein Q1, X, R1, R1a, R2 and R3 are as defined in the disclosure. Also disclosed are compositions containing the compounds of Formula 1 and methods for controlling plant disease caused by a fungal pathogen comprising applying an effective amount of a compound or a composition of the invention.

Phosphonium tosylates have been investigated as solvents for the Diels–Alderreactions of isoprene with methylacrylate, but-3-en-2-one and acrylonitrile. The reactions with oxygen-containing dienophiles showed high regioselectivity.

Diels–Alderreactions have been investigated in pyridinium based ionicliquids. These solvents are found to be more effective compared to the organic solvent studied, in enhancing the reaction rate and product yields. Recycled ionicliquids also gave excellent results.
