AbstractThe hydroformylation of 10‐undecenenitrile (1) – a substrate readily prepared from renewable castor oil – in the presence of rhodium‐phosphane catalysts systems is reported. The corresponding linear aldehyde (2) can be prepared in high yields and regioselectivities with a (dicarbonyl)rhodium acetoacetonate‐biphephos [Rh(acac)(CO)2‐biphephos] catalyst. The hydroformylation process is accompanied by isomerization of 1 into internal isomers of undecenenitrile (1‐int); yet, it is shown that the Rh‐biphephos catalyst effectively isomerizes back 1‐int into 1, eventually allowing high conversions of 1/1‐int into 2. Recycling of the catalyst by vacuum distillation under a controlled atmosphere was demonstrated over 4–5 runs, leading to high productivities up to 230,000 mol (2)⋅mol (Rh)−1 and 5,750 mol (2)⋅mol (biphephos)−1. Attempted recycling of the catalyst using a thermomorphic multicomponent solvent (TMS) phase‐separation procedure proved ineffective because the final product 2 and the Rh‐biphephos catalyst were always found in the same polar phase. La présente invention concerne un procédé de synthèse d'un composé ω-aminoacide de formule HOOC-R'-CH2NH2, où R' est un radical alkyle comportant de 6 à 15 atomes de carbone ou un radical alkylène comportant de 6 à 15 atomes de carbone et de 0 à 2 insaturations, comprenant : 1 ) une étape d'hydroformylation d'un nitrile gras insaturé choisi parmi les composés de formule R1-CH=CH-[(CH2)q-CH=CH]m-(CH2)r-CN, où R1 est H ou un radical alkyle comportant de 1 à 11 atomes de carbone comportant le cas échéant une fonction hydroxyle, q, m et r sont des indices entiers tels que q = 0 ou 1, 0≤m≤2 et 4 < r < 13, et leurs mélanges, en faisant réagir ledit nitrile avec du monoxyde de carbone et du dihydrogène de façon à obtenir au moins un aldéhyde nitrile gras de formule : HOC-R'-CN, 2) une étape d'oxydation en présence de dioxygène, au cours de laquelle l'aldéhyde nitrile obtenu à l'étape 1) est converti en acide nitrile gras de formule : HOOC-R'-CN, 3) une étape de réduction au cours de laquelle l'acide nitrile obtenu à l'étape 2) est converti en co-aminoacide de formule : HOOC-R'-CH2NH2.
