fac-M(CO)3(C7H8) (M = Cr, Mo, W; C7H8 = cycloheptatriene) reacts with [(Ph2PCH2CH2)2NH2]Cl (1) in the presence of n-C4H9Li to give the complexes fac-(OC)3H (3a–c; M = Cr, Mo, W) and mer-(OC)3H (3a′). The compounds are characterized by their infrared, Raman, 1H NMR, 31P“1H” NMR, 95Mo NMR and mass spectra.
