Reactions of 5-imino-4-thioxoimidazolidine (II) and 4-thioxoimidazolidine-2,5-diones (III) with amines, hydrazine hydrate, hydrazine derivatives, o-phenylenediamines and cupper turnings were investigated.

Cyanothioformamides were reacted with isocyanates, isothiocyanates, aldehydes, acetylenedicarboxylic acid and anthranilic acids to produce imidazolidines, oxazolidines pyrroline, quinazolinones and benzothiazoloquinazolinones, respectively. Interaction of imidazolidineimino(thiones and dithiones) with o-phenylenediamines gave rise to imidazoquinoxalines and imidazaquinoxalinethiones, respectively.
