Provided is a method for producing an α-azidoaniline derivative or an α,α'-diazide derivative using an aniline derivative as a starting material.
The present invention includes a method for producing an α-azidoaniline derivative or an α,α'-diazide derivative represented by Formula (2), including the step of: contacting an aniline derivative represented by Formula (1) with an azidating agent in presence of water, a persulfate, and a copper compound (In Formula (1), R1 to R5 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a nitro group, a cyano group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group having 7 to 14 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 2 to 13 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxycarbonyl group having 2 to 7 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted carbonyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, or optionally form an aliphatic hydrocarbon ring, an aromatic ring, or a heterocyclic ring together with an adjacent group. In Formula (2), R1 to R3, and R5 have a meaning same as that of R1 to R3, and R5 in Formula (1), and R4 is an azido group (N3) or has a meaning same as that of R4 in Formula (1)).
