    5-Ethoxymethylidene-4-thioxo-2-thiazolidinone was studied as versatile core building block in the synthesis of new thiopyrano[2,3-d]thiazole derivatives relevant for medicinal chemistry purposes under hetero-Diels-Alder reaction conditions.
