No subsequent frustration: FrustratedLewispairs (FLPs) have been recently introduced as an unprecedented possibility to activate hydrogen. On the basis of this concept the first example of highly enantioselective catalytic hydrogenation of imines using chiral FLPs has been demonstrated (see scheme).
