Two novel C-60-fluorescein-anthracene hybrids have been synthesized. Fluorescence quenching in the hybrids indicates an energy transfer from the excited state of anthracene to fluorescein and photoinduced intramolecular electron transfer from the excited state of fluorescein to the C-60 moiety.
