The object of the present invention is to provide a novel 22-oxavitamin D derivative having a hydroxy group at both 1α- and 3α-positions. According to the present invention, there is provided 22-oxavitamin D derivatives having the following general formula (I):
(wherein R1 represents a straight or branched C4-C10 alkyl group having 1 to 3 hydroxy groups, and R2 and R3 each independently represents a hydrogen atom or a protecting group),
intermediates for the synthesis of the derivatives, and a method for producing them.
