(Triphenylphosphonium alkylide)triphenylmetal chloride [(C6H5)3\overset+PCHR–M(C6H5)3]Cl− (R: H, Me, i-pr; M: Ge, Sn, Pb) and (triphenylphosphoniumalkylide)metal chloride [(C6H5)3\overset+PCHR]nMCln−, (M=Ge,n= 4; M=Pb, n=2) have been isolated from a reaction mixture of alkylidenetriphenylphosphoranes and IVA-group metal compounds.
