cercosporin at aspects of photophysics and photobiology, its application in photocatalysis has been rarely reported. Herein we report cercosporin‐photocatalyzed selective synthesis of aryl sulfides undermild and green conditions. The gram‐scale reaction can proceed using cercosporin‐containing fermentation supernatant without purification.
A highly efficient palladium-catalyzedoxidative cross-coupling of arylhydrazines and arenethiols with molecularoxygen as the sole oxidant to afford unsymmetrical diaryl sulfides has been developed. The only byproducts are nitrogen and water. A broad range of functional groups, even the reactive iodides, are tolerated and thus offer the opportunity for further functionalization.

The present invention provides a method of selectively inhibiting PKC in the presence of PKC, by administering to a subject in need thereof, a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of Formula I. The present invention also provides a method of inhibiting cytokine synthesis in a T cell, a method of inhibiting T cell proliferation, and a method of inhibiting the replication of and cytokine production by T lymphocytes, while not stimulating or inhibiting the replication of B lymphocytes.
