Copper-catalyzedcross-coupling of N-tosylhydrazones with N-iminopyridinium ylides leads to the direct C–H alkylation. Pd-catalyzed reaction of N-tosylhydrazones with benzylhalides affords di- and trisubstituted olefins in high yields with excellent stereoselectivity. This coupling reaction is supposed to proceed through a migratory insertion of Pd carbene species.
A novel method for the synthesis of esters via reductive coupling of N‐tosylhydrazones with carboxylicacids under metal‐free conditions has been developed. Various functional groups were found to be tolerable under the reaction conditions to afford low to good yields.
