[reaction: see text] Enantiopure (1Z,3E)-1-sulfinyl dienes bearing an o-dithianylphenyl group can be prepared and complexed with (bda)Fe(CO)(3) to afford the corresponding sulfinyl dieneiron(0) tricarbonyl complexes.
