in high yields using ketene N,S-acetal salts, obtained from phenyl isothiocyanate and propanedinitrile or ethyl cyanoacetate. Several of the newly synthesized 1,3-thiazolidin-4-one derivatives demonstrate high antioxidant and anticancer activities.
