Two new zinc complexes, [Zn(Ppd)I]ClO4 (I) and [Zn(Ped)I]ClO4 (II), where Ppd and Ped are the Schiff bases N,N′-bis[(1-(2-pyridyl)ethylidene)propane-1,3-diamine and N,N′-bis[(1-(2-pyridyl)ethylidene)ethane-1,2-diamine, respectively, have been synthesized and characterized by means of elemental analysis, infrared spectroscopic, molar conductivity, and single crystal X-ray diffraction.
