  A compound or an agricuituraity suitable salt thereof, which has the general formula wherein R is thienyl or mono- or disubstituted phenyl; R, and R2 are independently H or CH3; W isOorS; X is CH3 or-OCH3; Y is selected from a variety of organic and inorganic substituents; and Z is CH or N; is of interest for the regulation of plant growth and as a pre-emergence or post-emergence herbicide.
