    A method for the production of 3-cyano-3,5,5-trimethyl cyclohexanone by the reaction of isophorone with hydrogen cyanide in the presence of a quaternary ammonium salt or quaternary phosphonium salt and a basic compound as a catalyst in a form dissolved or dispersed in water or in the absence of water, which method comprises effecting said reaction by using said quaternary ammonium salt or quaternary phosphonium salt in an amount in the range of from 0.001 to 0.1 mol per mol of isophorone and said basic compound and in an amount in the range of from 0.5 to 3.0 mols per mol of said quaternary ammonium salt or quaternary phosphonium salt and, when water is used, using water in an amount in the range of 0.1 to 25% by weight based on the amount of isophorone, and employing hydrogen cyanidehydrocyanic acid at a ratio in the range of from 0.6 to 1.0 mol per mol of isophorone at a temperature in the range of from 90° to 140°C.

    A thermoplastic resin composition comprising a thermoplastic resin and at least one of a polyglycerin derivative in which at least one hydroxyl group of a polyglycerin molecule is esterified with a fatty acid, an N-acyl basic amino acid and a dibasic acid erythritol ester, and : i) in using said polyglycerin derivative, further comprising an antioxidant, or further comprising an antioxidant and a filler; ii) in using said N-acyl basic amino acid, further comprising a filler and wherein said thermoplastic resin contains at least one type selected from the group consisting of a polyolefin resin, a polystyrene resin, a polyester resin, a polyamide resin and an engineering plastic; and iii) in using said dibasic acid erythritol ester, further comprising a filler, and wherein said thermoplastic resin contains at least one type selected from the group consisting of a polyolefin resin, a polystyrene resin, a polyester resin, a polyamide resin and an engineering plastic, and the amount of said dibasic acid erythritol ester is less than 1 part by weight per 100 parts by weight of the thermoplastic resin, and said ester includes an ester having a degree of esterification of not more than 50% is provided. Thus obtained thermoplastic resin composition is excellent in improving a thermal aging resistance for the resin when a thermoplastic resin is molded, and the additives for the thermoplastic resin composition are also provided.

The process for producing a nonaqueous inkjet ink is a process for producing a nonaqueous ink jet ink containing at least an organic solvent, a pigment, and a fixing resin. The process is characterized in that the fixing resin satisfies a b/a value of not more than 0.020 wherein a represents the total of integrated values of areas of all of peaks derived from the fixing resin among all of peaks detected in a proton nuclear magnetic resonance analysis; and b represents the total of integrated values of areas of all of peaks derived from the compounds other than the fixing resin.
