  The complex N(CH2CH2PPh2)3}RuCl2 reacts with the diphenyl propargyl alcohol (HCCCPh2OH) to give a ruthenium—allenylidene compound stable in methanol. Reaction of the same complex with the diyne 5,5-diphenyl-penta-1,3-diyn-5-ol in methanol gives an alkenyl allenylidene compound containing the (RuCCC(OMe)(CHCPh2 moiety.
