Palladium-catalyzedcarbonylation of allylamines under CO (50atm) at 110°C proceeds highly efficiently to give the corresponding β,γ-unsaturated amides. The carbonylation occurs at the less substituted carbon of allyl units to give linear amides with high regioselectivity.
