A recyclable solid-catalyst, acid-ionic polymer bearing imidazolium trifluoromethanesulfonate, [PS-Im][OTf] was presented as an efficient catalyst in a one-pot, three-componentMannichreaction of aldehydes, amines and ketones. Abstract A three-component Mannich-type reaction of aromatic aldehydes, anilines, and cyclohexanone in the presence of Amberlyst-15 affords the corresponding β-amino ketones in good yields at room temperature. The conversion is highly diastereoselective, favoring the formation of anti-isomers.

2,3-Dichloro-5,6-dicyanobenzoquinone (DDQ) was used as an efficient catalysts for a one-pot, three-componentMannichreaction of cyclohexanone or acetophenone with aromatic aldehydes and aromatic amines under solvent free condition. This protocol has the advantage of high yield, mild reaction conditions, lower catalyst loading and simple work up procedure.
