The reactivity of allenic esters towards activated N-sulfonylimines in the presence of DABCO was explored. A formal [2+2] cycloaddition of benzyl buta-2,3-dienoate and N-arylidenebenzenesulfonamides yielded mainly 2-methyleneazetidines.
