  This invention relates to hexahydroindolizinones of the formula wherein R' and R2 are hydrogen; halogen; alkyl; alkoxy; or phenyl; Y is R3R4N-; or a group of the formula R3 and R4 are alkyl, R5 and R6 are alkyl, m is an integer from 2 to 6; n is an integer from 2 to 4, and the racemic mixtures and isomers thereof; and the pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof, which are useful as inhibitors of cardiac arrhythmias and of platelet aggregation and are therefore useful in the treatment of irregular heartbeat and in the prevention of thrombus formation.
