  series of hydrochloride salts of 5-diethylamino- acetamido-2-arylimino-3-aryl-4-thiazolidones was synthesized as potential local anesthetic agents. Pharmacological screening using the sciatic plexus of the frog showed that three of the hydrochloride salts were potent local anesthetics.
