    Optically Transparent Sulfur-containing Semi-alicyclic Polyimide with High Refractive Index
    摘要:
    Sulfur-containing semi-alicyclic polyimides (PIs) with high refractive indices up to 1.7272 at 632.8 nm have been prepared by the Michael polyaddition of sulfur-containing bismaleimides (SBMIs) with 4,4′-thiobis(benzenethiol) (TBT). These PIs also showed high transparency in the visible region, low birefringence (Δn), and a high glass transition temperature.

    Aromatic polythioetheramides have repeating units represented by one or both of the following formulae and wherein X is C1-C10 divalent hydrocarbon, -0-, -S-, - SO-, - SO2- or -CO-; a is 0 or 1; Y is C,-C20 alkyl, C3-C20 cycloalkyl, C6-C20 aralkyl, C6-C20 aryl, halogen or nitro; b, c, e and f, 0 to 4; d, 0-20 and Ar is a C6-C30 aromatic ring. Repeating units derived from C6-C30 aromatic diamines may replace up to 50 mol% of the above thioetheramide units, and from 51 to 99 mol% when Ar is isophthalyl or terephthalyl. The polymers have excellent moldability, flame retardance, heat resistance and chemical resistance, and are suitable for use as engineering plastics.

    Crystalline polyimides having low glass transition temperatures and high solvent resistance are obtained by reacting diamino-oligo-phenylene sulfides with aromatic tetracarboxylic acids or their anhydride derivatives. The diamino-oligo-phenylene sulfides can be of varying length and can be reacted with the dianhydride by conventional processes.

    Provided are a gas separation membrane which includes a gas separation layer formed to include a polyimide compound and in which the polyimide compound includes a repeating unit represented by the following Formula (I), a gas separation module, a gas separation device, and a gas separation method using the same. In Formula (I), R represents a group having a specific structure. R3 represents a specific substituent group. A1 to A3 represent a hydrogen atom or a specific substituent group, but all of A1 to A3 do not represent a hydrogen atom at the same time. In this case, at least one of R3, A1, A2, and A3 represents a specific polar group.
