A tetra-sulfonamide derivative bearing two dansyl groups designed as a new fluoride selective fluorescent chemosensor

A new fluorescent chemosensor based on an acyclic tetra-sulfonamide derivative linked to two dansyl groups has been conveniently synthesized. Its high selective binding ability to fluoride ions over other halide ions was demonstrated by using fluorescence as well as 1H NMR spectra.
