The synthesis of a phosphonium-substituted diphosphaindenylide, PPI, is reported. Introduction of two P atoms to the indenyl core results in considerable biradical character. Moreover, the ligand properties of PPI are investigated using a chromiumtricarbonylcomplex as model compound.

Dendrons with a porphyrin core and pi-conjugated dendron branches with 8 and 16 stilbene groups have been synthesized and characterized. The dendrons used for dendrimer synthesis possessed an all trans configuration. Cubic non-linear optical behavior of the styryl and porphyrin-containing dendrimers was tested via Z-Scan measurements in spin-coated film samples. (C) 2012 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

(EN) Epoxy resin compositions used in preparation of laminates for electronic applications are free of the solvents typically needed in current industrial practice. The use of certain mono-substituted dicyandiamides makes possible the elimination of such solvents since all of the components are soluble in epoxy resin to an extent which provides uniform properties in the cured laminates.(FR) Des compositions de résine époxy, utilisées dans la préparation de stratifiés pour des applications électroniques, sont dépourvues des solvants généralement requis dans les procédés industriels courants. L'utilisation de certains dicyandiamides monosubstitués permet de supprimer de tels solvants dans la mesure où les composants sont solubles dans la résine époxy à un point permettant de conférer des caractéristiques uniformes aux stratifiés durcis.
