Suzuki reaction of bromoallenes with arylboronic acids was successfully performed by using an air-stable hemilabile P-O coordinated cyclopalladated complex Pd(Ph2PCH2CO2)(2) as a precatalyst, and the corresponding coupling products were obtained in satisfactory to excellent yields. Abstract An efficient and convenient new method has been developed for the preparation of haloallenes from propargyl alcohols by a reagent combination of N-halosuccinimide and triphenylphosphine. Chloroallenes 2 and bromoallenes 3 were obtained exclusively in moderate to good yields with regioselectivity.
