  Pyrrolidone 1a–f und 2d werden die amidoethylierten Malonsäuren 3a–f und 4d und deren Derivate (Diamid 13a, Dihydrazid 11d) in guten Ausbeuten erhalten. Wie die Hydrolyse von 2a zeigt, wird die exocyclische Estergruppe zuerst angegriffen. Beim „aktivierten”︁ Pyrrolidon 1g ist dagegen die Ringöffnung erheblich schneller als der Angriff auf die Esterfunktion, so daß die Ringspaltung b Halbester 6g und Monohydrazid

  Substituted phenylaminocarbonylaziridines are reacted with N-nitro-ethylcarbamate and then with ammonia to give N-aryl-N′-nitroaminoethyl-ureas 5-11 after acidification. 5 and 6 have a sweet taste, 7 is bitter.
