  An aromatic polyester obtained by copolycondensation of isophtalic acid and terepthalic acid or the derivatives thereof, bis(hydroxyphenyl)sulfone, and 2,2-bis(4'-hydroxyphenyl)propane. This aromatic polyester has a good moldability and provides colorless, transparent moldings by a molding process such as compression moldin, extrusion molding or injection molding. The resulting moldings possess good mechanical and electrical properties, and improved heat resistance.
