  当用强酸处理时，N-（2-硫氰基乙基）-邻苯二胺（1g-1v）仅环化成3-（2-阴离子基）-2-亚氨基噻唑烷（6），而相关的叔胺（1a -1f）在相同条件下得到类型（2）或（3）的苯并噻二唑啉。某些类型（6）的化合物是低毒的高活性抗抑郁药。还报道了化合物（6b）的热反应及其转化为类型（22）和（24）的三环化合物。
