  已经开发了通过用伯胺还原胺化羰基化合物来制备仲胺的新颖而有效的方法。还原反应是利用三乙胺-乙酸作为缓冲液，用甲醇中的金属镁完成的，得到的纯仲胺大部分收率很高（65-80％）。没有观察到叔胺或醇的形成。使用乙酸铵作为氨基组分以适度的产率（约50％）得到伯胺，以及可变量的仲胺。烯胺未经历还原。该方法便宜，相对快速，操作简单并且适用于大规模制备。另外，已经开发了一种从仲胺中分离伯胺的简单方法。
