  The structures of fruticulins A and B, two highly oxidized diterpene quinones isolated from Salvia fruticulosa, were determined by spectroscopic methods, chemical transformations and X-ray crystallographic analysis of one of them. The free phenol derivative of fruticulin A was also isolated as a natural product.
