    Disclosed is a fluorine-containing polymerizable monomer represented by the formula [1] below. (In the formula, A represents a single bond, an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, CO, CH 2 , SO, SO 2 , C(CH 3 ) 2 , NHCO, C(CF 3 ) 2 , a phenyl or an alicyclic ring; a and b independently represent an integer of 0-2; and 1≦a+b≦4.) Such a fluorine-containing polymerizable monomer can be used as an effective polymerizable monomer exhibiting water repellency, oil repellency, low water absorbency, heat re-sistance, weather resistance, corrosion resistance, transparency, photosensitivity, low refractive index, low dielectric properties and the like.     There is provided a fluorine-containing diamine represented by formula (1). In this formula, R 1 represents a condensed polycyclic type aromatic hydrocarbon group, and at least one —C(CF 3 ) 2 OH group and at least one —NH 2 group are in a relation such that they are attached to adjacent carbons of carbon atoms constituting the condensed polycyclic type aromatic hydrocarbon group. Polymer compounds derived from this fluorine-containing diamine have superior low dielectric property and low water-absorbing property, and, in addition to that, shows low thermal expansion property and high glass transition temperature.

    A polyimide precursor composition which is produced by (i) providing a polyamide acid solution obtained by reacting an aromatic tetracarboxylic acid component and a diamine component in the presence of an oxygen-containing solvent and (ii) subjecting said polyamide acid solution to heat treatment. The polyimide precursor composition exhibits a desirable apparent viscosity and a desirable thixotropic property and it excels in film forming ability, and because of this, it enables to form a high quality relief pattern film with no defect and which excels in form retention by way of the screen printing. Further, the polyimide precursor composition is extremely suitable for the formation of a relief pattern by way of the screen printing in the production of electronic, electric, optical, or precision devices, wherein the relief pattern is required to have a reduced dielectric constant and a reduced residual stress and to have a sufficient heat resistance, moisture resistance, physical strength, and chemical stability.
