(S)-2-Hydroxycuparene and 3,4′-ethylenebisphenol have been isolated fromMarchantiapolymorphaLinn., together with a mixture of campesterol, stigmasterol, and β-sitosterol, and other terpenoid constituents. Syntheses of (R)-2-hydroxycuparene and of the bisphenol are reported.
