A process for the preparation of a thermoplastic polymer on the basis of an alkenyl-aromatic monomer and an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid comprises the addition of 0,001-0,01 wt.% of an acid during polymerization. Suitable acids that can be applied are carboxylic acids, and sulphur- and/or phosphorus-containing acids or their mixtures.

Stable, Nonaqueous built detergent compositions are provided. The compositions comprise a liquid phase of non-ionic surfactant and a solid, dispersed phase of insolubles at least one of which is a builder such as sodium tripolyphosphate and trisodium citrate. The compositions may also contain bleach, and the conventional adjuvants. Stability and improved dispersibility in water is provided by a carboxy-containing polymer.

The invention relates to a polymer composition based on a thermoplastic polymer and a polyaniline, characterised in that the thermoplastic polymer contains functional monomeric units and the polyaniline is grafted onto the thermoplastic polymer substantially through the reaction of the terminal NH₂ group of the polyaniline with a functional monomeric unit of the thermoplastic polymer. It has been found that the polymer composition according to the invention has good thermoplastic processability as well as good conductive properties. The polymer composition according to the invention is extremely suitable for the production of all kinds of objects.
