[Zn(L1/L2)][Zn(X)4] (2a–2d) (L1: X = N 3 - , 2 a and X = NCS−, 2b; L2: X = N 3 - , 2 c and X = NCS−, 2d). Elemental, spectral and other physicochemical results are used to characterize the complexes. Ten hexadentate (N4O2, N4S2 and N6) Schiff-base ligands have been prepared by condensation of various aldehydes and two different linear tetraamines containing the piperazine moiety.
