Weak Ferromagnetism in (DBr-DCNQI)2Cu (DBr-DCNQI=2,5-dibromo-N,N'-dicyanoquinonediimine)

Weak ferromagnetism has been found in (DBr-DCNQI)2Cu below the Neel temperature, T(N) = 16 K. The remanent magnetization does not decrease with lowering temperature, which is in contrast to that observed for (DMe-DCNQI-d8)2Cu. The results suggest that the weak ferromagnetism is a universal feature of the antiferromagnetically ordered state of the DCNQI2Cu system.
