For the first time, an anagostic interaction is found between a H atom of a methyl group and a copper site in the bis-2-tertbutyl(phenanthroline)Cu(i) complex.
Association of chiral [CuL2](+) complexes (L = 2-R-phen, 6-R-bpy, and 2-iminopyridine) with TRISPHAT (tris(tetrachlorobenzene-diolato)phosphate(V)) anion leads to NMR enantiodifferentiation, which can be used to determine the kinetics of racemization of the complexes.
