  (EN) This invention relates to the use of derivatives of benzothiazole (BT) as fluorescent substrates. Highly fluorescent derivatives of BT can be converted to non-fluorescent derivatives by the attachment of a chemical moiety to the BT derivative. When the chemical moiety is cleaved or otherwise dissociated from the non-fluorescent derivative, the fluorescence is restored. These benzothiazole derivatives are useful in detecting enzymes or biological ligands.(FR) L'invention concerne l'utilisation de dérivés de benzothiazole (BT) comme substrats fluorescents. On peut convertir des dérivés de BT hautement fluorescents en dérivés non fluorescents par fixatin d'une fraction chimique au dérivé de BT. Une fois la fraction chimique clivée ou dissociée d'une autre manière du dérivé non fluorescent, la fluorescence est rétablie. Ces dérivés de benzothiazole sont utiles pour détecter des enzymes ou des ligands biologiques.
