One-step synthesis of rhodamine-based Fe3+ fluorescent probes via Mannich reaction and its application in living cell imaging
spectra research of the probes demonstrated that they could be used as Fe3+-selective fluorescentprobes with good sensitivity, excellent linearity, and outstanding anti-interference in acetonitrile/Tris-HCl buffer solution (3:7, V/V; pH = 7.4). Moreover, confocal laser scanning microscopy experiments have proven that the probe M3 was successfully used for fluorescence imaging in MCF-7 cells.

Twelve different rhodamine based N-glycosylamines were synthesized from the corresponding rhodamine based amine derivatives and 4,6-O-protected-D-glucose. All these compounds were characterized by using different spectral techniques and by their physico-chemical properties.
Molecularly imprinted smart polymers (MISPs) are provided herein, as well as novel monomers for preparing MISPs, and processes for preparing MISPs. The MISPs can be used applications such as, for example, detecting/absorbing or isolating biological and non-biological agents. The MISPs described herein comprise responsive monomeric units which undergo a physico-chemical change (e.g., a bond formation or cleavage) in response to an external change, such that the MISP selectively binds to a target molecule and releases a bound target molecule in response to the external change.
