Onium salt, N1, N1, N1, N5, N5, N5-hexaethylpentane-1,5-diammonium dibromide, was used as a catalyst for the addition of CO2 to epoxides. An influence of insoluble supports on the rate of the process as well as possibility of recycling of the catalytic system are described.
